Leather Bag Making Course – 2 day
Description
This two-day course will provide an introduction to the traditional method of leather bag making and give you an insight into the basics of leatherwork. You will be able to chose from one of three bag designs and several different colours and textures of leather.
Once you have picked your style you will then work on the selection of material, use of hand tools, cutting, master the technique of preparing leather for traditional hand stitching techniques and develop a professional edge finishing technique. You will have the opportunity to add pockets and personalise your bag with leather flower embellishments and go home with a beautiful unique handmade item.
There will be a full demonstration of each process during this ‘hands on’ course with plenty of support as you construct your hand-made leather bag.
