Stanwick Lakes is a 750 acre countryside attraction and nature reserve made up of lakes, meadows, and wooded areas. Hard surfaced paths and bridges make the site accessible to most people and three areas of play equipment provide plenty of opportunity for play and adventure for youngsters. As such, Stanwick Lakes provides the ideal location to learn about nature and the environment for young and old.
A range of educational visits are on offer for school groups, led by the Stanwick Lakes Rangers covering topics such as freshwater life, marvellous minibeasts and amazing outdoor art. It is not just children visiting with their schools that can benefit from our education sessions but also scout and brownie groups and adults attending events to learn about the site and its wildlife.
