COVID-19

Update from Rockingham Forest Trust March 2020
Stanwick Lakes – operation during the COVID-19 outbreak

As a result of the latest Government edict it is no longer possible for us to operate the site as usual. Local people may take their daily exercise on the footpaths which cross and run through the site but all other facilities are closed.

Our staff will not be working and there will be no ranger presence on site.

Memberships
It will not be possible to purchase or renew memberships at the present time, but as the car park is closed, membership cards will not be needed.

Cycle Hire
AJ Cycles will not be open on site for the foreseeable future.

Events
All events are currently cancelled up to the end of April 2020. We will review the situation after that, but further cancellations are likely.

Volunteers
All work parties are cancelled for the time being, and we are unable to support our many individual volunteers in their various roles until further notice. We will keep in touch as the situation changes and very much look forward to your return.

Bookings
Group or individual bookings for the visitor centre will not be able to go ahead, and those affected will be contacted.

Group activities
All craft workshops, Rainbow Cafés, and other group sessions in the visitor centre are suspended. This includes the Health walks.

Otters Children’s Holiday Club
We have had to cancel the Easter and Whitsun sessions but hope we may be able to offer the summer club, depending on how the current crisis develops.
