As from Saturday 18th July:

We are pleased to be opening up more of our facilities, but we must remind everyone to continue to follow Government advice on social distancing.

To keep people safe and numbers on site manageable, there will still be some restrictions on how many cars are allowed on site. Please do not park on local roads. The car park opens at 7am and is locked at 7pm.

We have a reduced number of our staff working, so our ability to respond to emails, social media, voicemails etc is limited. Thank you for your patience.

Outdoor toilets

These are open (9am – 7pm) and are situated behind the refreshment kiosk. We advise that only one household at a time should use the toilet facilities. They are regularly cleaned.

Play equipment

All play equipment, including that on the assault course and adventure trail, is open. The waterplay remains closed (owing to Government restrictions).

Our ranger team are back working on site. Please cooperate with any instructions they give.

Our ‘Snack Shack’ is open serving light, wrapped refreshments, ice-creams and hot and cold drinks.

Visitor building

This is open from 10am on Monday 5th October. In order to keep people safe and adhere to the latest legislation Cafe Solar is table service ONLY, and customers will be shown to a table. Downstairs (including the outside deck) is for breakfast, lunch and afternoon treats; our Skyloft Coffee Lounge on the mezzanine is for tea/coffee and cake (please note there is a lift).

Barbecue area

This remains closed to discourage group gatherings. Barbecues are therefore not permitted on site.

It is possible to renew your membership, or take out a new one at our Snack Shack refreshment kiosk or log cabin.

Cycle Hire

Please call 07850 723592 to check opening times. Disability scooters are available to hire.

All events are cancelled for the foreseeable future.

Volunteer work parties are running again, and we are delighted to welcome back our many individual volunteers in their various roles.

We can currently only accept bookings for the Solstice Suite and Discovery Zone for groups of six or fewer.

Group activities

All craft workshops, Rainbow Cafés, and other group sessions in the visitor centre are suspended. This includes the Health Walks.

Otters Children’s holiday club

We are currently unable to run the club while social distancing remains in force and are not taking any bookings.

Stanwick Lakes is a large nature reserve and we are not able to clean all the surfaces you may come into contact with (gates, bird hides etc). We therefore advise that you come prepared with some disinfectant wipes. We ask that you respect other users’ personal space whilst on site, especially when in areas that are busy with people. Please visit, have fun, enjoy the site and stay alert.
