The majority of the site’s facilities are wheelchair accessible, including the visitor centre, toilets, rangers’ log cabin, bird hide, the network of footpaths and cycle paths, and areas within the central adventure playground. A lift is situated in the café area to allow disabled visitors to access the mezzanine seating area where the archaeological finds are kept, including the section of Roman floor mosaic.
A disability scooter is available for use at Stanwick Lakes through AJ Cycles. The scooter was donated for use by visitors by the daughter of a former regular. AJ Cycles very kindly keep the scooter maintained and insured. For a small donation it is available for use from AJ Cycles during their normal opening hours.
For more information about access at Stanwick Lakes please read our Stanwick Lakes Access Statement.
