Opportunities for volunteering

If you are interested in getting more involved at Stanwick Lakes, there are many opportunities for volunteering, from manning the visitor information desk and helping out at events to pratical tasks around the site.

Work Parties

Wednesday work parties meet every Wednesday morning in the winter and alternate Wednesday mornings in the summer, from 10am - 1pm to do conservation and maintenance tasks on the site. Jobs which are likely to be included are willow removal, pruning trees and maintenance repairs.

Everyone is welcome, just come along on the day if you feel like it.

The Rangers are also holding one Saturday work day each month, usually on the 3rd Saturday. Each Saturday work day has a different task assigned to it to provide some variety.

Work Party Dates

For information on work party dates, please contact the Rangers on 01933 625522.

For all work days please wear warm old clothes and sturdy boots [not trainers] and bring waterproofs with you. Gloves and tools will be provided as will tea, coffee, juice and biscuits, but please bring a packed lunch for Saturdays.
