Attraction Manager - Stanwick Lakes Salary circa £25k - £28k

Opened in January 2006, Stanwick Lakes countryside attraction and nature reserve in East Northamptonshire has already attracted around 380,000 enthusiastic visitors. The next exciting phase is a new £2.2m Visitor Centre, due for completion in Spring 2009, creating the need for an experienced manager with strong business development skills to help steer the project to future success.

The role involves spearheading development of the enhanced attraction including product initiatives and operation of the catering, retail, corporate, and education offer. Key too will be staff selection and team development, including existing rangers and volunteers. Experience of day to day management of a commercial operation is essential, ideally in an attraction, catering or hospitality role.

Experience of managing development of a new business or project is highly desirable as are excellent communication and people skills, and an empathy with conservation work.
