Welcome to Stanwick Lakes,
where the adventure lasts all day!
Stanwick Lakes is a unique 750acre countryside attraction and nature reserve in the heart of Northamptonshire's beautiful Nene Valley, and is widely considered to be one of the region's most imaginative outdoor activity destinations. It offers the best of both worlds: extensive play areas to keep adventurous families entertained for hours, and for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists, acres of wide open spaces and paths, where blue skies are reflected in tranquil waters.
And if the weather is less than perfect? Head indoors to the visitor centre, with its host of facilities and activities.
Stanwick Lakes is managed as a social enterprise by environmental charity, Rockingham Forest Trust, in partnership with East Northamptonshire Council.

Art at Stanwick Lakes
Come down to Stanwick Lakes this month to meet artists, see their work, and even create some art yourself. From 8th-26th September the visitor centre is hosting a Studio Space, an Exhibition, Display Cabinets, Craft Workshops and Traditional Craft Workshops as part of Northants Open Studio Trails. For more info visit the “What’s On” page or have a look at the events on the Stanwick Lakes facebook page. Usual car parking charges apply but why not make the most of your visit by taking a stroll by the lakes and having an “Artist’s Afternoon Tea” in the Cafe?
Unfortunately there will be no boating offered at Stanwick Lakes for the foreseeable future. Our boating operator, Nene Xtreme from Oundle, has experienced some operational issues which has meant they are unable to open the boating at Stanwick Lakes. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.
The Visitor Centre is open from 10am – 5pm.
Please be aware that our car parking machine accepts CASH ONLY.
