Stanwick Lakes is a unique 750acre countryside attraction and nature reserve in the heart of Northamptonshire's beautiful Nene Valley, and is widely considered to be one of the region's most imaginative outdoor activity destinations. It offers the best of both worlds: extensive play areas to keep adventurous families entertained for hours, and for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists, acres of wide open spaces and paths, where blue skies are reflected in tranquil waters.
And if the weather is less than perfect? Head indoors to the visitor centre, with its host of facilities and activities.
Stanwick Lakes is managed as a social enterprise by environmental charity, Rockingham Forest Trust, in partnership with East Northamptonshire Council.

Can you complete our Olympic Challenge?
Unfortunately, due to high winds being forecast for Saturday 20th August, Lunaflix are having to postpone the showing of Top Gun until Saturday 3rd September.
To celebrate the Rio Olympics Stanwick Lakes has its own Olympic Challenge which runs throughout the summer holidays until 4th September! Win a special Olympic medal by completing three or more of five activities including walking/jogging/skipping the Stanwick Lakes mile, cycling around a lake and scrambling over the assault course. Buy your leaflet at reception or the kiosk for £2.50 (only one medal per leaflet).

The Visitor Centre is open every day of the school summer holidays from 10am – 6pm (although this will be weather dependent).
