Head Ranger

Full time, permanent contract (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: c £28k depending on experience

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small environmental charity and social enterprise in a leadership role. Based at one of the region’s most popular countryside sites, the job involves organising and coordinating the work of the Ranger Team to help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of Stanwick Lakes.

Looking after the conservation interest of this SSSI while balancing this with recreational use will be key, as will ensuring a positive experience for users through engagement, educational events and activities, whilst maintaining a safe environment through regular site and infrastructure maintenance.

Marketing and Events Coordinator

£23,500 – £24,000 (depending on experience)

Full time position

Initial 12 month fixed term contract, with intention to extend to permanent position.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small environmental charity and social enterprise, delivering the marketing and events programme for a new project which improves habitats and engages people with nature. The person we are seeking will have at least a couple of years’ relevant experience and will relish the chance to work as part of a team in a beautiful, community-focussed environment.

The role is varied, ranging from promoting the various aspects of the Natureworks project at Stanwick Lakes, to organising activities and events which engage local people.
