Assistant Ranger x2
Stanwick Lakes has a great opportunity for two people with practical skills, who love working outdoors. We are looking for Assistant Rangers to support our existing Ranger team. You would be carrying out a range of tasks but these could include:
- Site patrols
- Conservation work
- Playground repairs and maintenance
- Grass Cutting
- Health and safety checks of the play areas and site infrastructure
- Car parking
- Answering visitor queries
- Litter picking to keep the site tidy
The role is largely a summer one with variable hours available, mostly at weekends and school holidays. Hours would be up to 7.5 hours a day on a varying shift pattern between 9am and 8pm, Monday to Sunday. There are some hours available in the winter, however these are more limited.
No previous experience is required as training will be given, however, you must be able to drive and be a great communicator. You would be an ambassador for Stanwick Lakes with our many visitors and therefore must be confident and enjoy helping people get the most from their visit.
If you would like to join the team and make a difference to both people and wildlife, email your completed application form to email@example.com for the attention of Mark, by 5pm on Monday 22nd April.
An excellent opportunity has arisen to lead the Stanwick Lakes Otters Holiday Club during school holidays. We are looking for two capable, energetic leaders to manage the day to day running of the club.
This would be perfect for anyone looking to gain experience working in a outdoor learning facility, working with children aged 5-11 years old and able to commit to working in the School holidays.
Experience would be helpful but is not essential. A willingness to learn and the ability to cope under pressure is essential. You must be over 17 years old and able to make your way to work independently.
